Christ of the New Age Movement
Part One on New Age Christology
"Who do you say I am?" (Luke 9:20, NIV) The question was first asked of Peter by Christ nineteen centuries ago, and has continued since then to the present day to be the litmus test of spiritual authenticity. Perhaps never in the history of the Christian church has this question been more relevant than it is today. One reason for this is that New Agers have taken the New Testament sculpture (if you will) of Christ, crafted an esoteric/mystical chisel, and hammered away at this sculpture until a completely new image has been formed.

Christ of the New Age Movement
Part Two on New Age Christology
In her best-selling book, Out on a Limb, Shirley MacLaine recounts how a friend once said to her: "You know that nothing is recorded in the Bible about Christ from the time he was about twelve until he began to really teach at about thirty years old. Right?" "Yes," MacLaine replied, "I had heard about that and I just figured he didn't have much to say until he got older."

Esotericism and Biblical Interpretation
When Jesus said, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness" (Matt. 6:33, NIV), was He teaching His disciples, as New Ager David Spangler argues, to seek "the state of identification with one's true individuality, the source within, the Divine center, that I AM THAT I AM"?

New Age Bible Versions
Another book against modern versions of the Bible has entered the marketplace. Like previous works by King James Version (KJV)-only advocates, it argues for the KJV and/or majority text-type as being truer to the original manuscripts than the modern critical Greek texts and their underlying textual traditions. It goes beyond previous works, however, by developing a conspiracy theory for the KJV-only view. Author G. A. Riplinger believes that lying behind modern versions (especially the NASB and NIV, apparently) is New Age influence.

Reincarnation and the Message of Jesus
Throughout human history people have wondered what—if anything—lies beyond the grave. Is death the end of existence, an entry into eternity, or an intermission between earthly lives? These questions have intrigued and haunted mortals for the millennia.

The Evidence for Atlantis:
Addressing New Age Apologetics
Whenever we speak or write about New Age topics we are inevitably asked: But what about the evidence for Atlantis and other lost civilizations? It is commonly assumed that such "evidence" is extensive.

The Gnostic Gospels and the New Age
If you pay attention to many religious programs on the radio and TV nowadays you will often pick up the idea that there was some kind of conspiracy in the early church to suppress teachings which are claimed to be of Jesus but are not found in the four Gospels of the New Testament. They are found in....

The Near--Death Experience
Part One: The New Age Connection
Christians are not the only ones wary of those who claim to have had near-death experiences. For many in the medical and scientific communities, their stories are as strange as those tales seen on Rod Serling's "The Twilight Zone." In fact these scientists maintain that....
